Takes Diamond and Pearl’s Sinnoh but tightens everything up—sharper sprites, snappier battles, and just enough tweaks to keep you guessing between familiar Bidoof encounters. The underground’s still weirdly fun to dig through.

Game Overview

Pokémon Perl-Edition (sUppLeX) is one of those fan-made NDS ROM hacks that actually feels polished—like someone took the original Sinnoh games and gave them a fresh coat of paint. The sprites are sharper, the battles feel snappier, and there’s just enough new stuff (like tweaked move sets and some surprise encounters) to keep you on your toes.

You’ll still recognize the core of Diamond and Pearl here—wandering through tall grass, getting ambushed by a Bidoof you didn’t want, and spending way too long debating your starter pick. But little changes, like smoother transitions and rebalanced gyms, make it feel less clunky than the original. And yeah, the underground’s still weirdly addictive.

If you’ve played Sinnoh to death but miss that DS-era Pokémon vibe, this is a solid way to revisit it without the HM slog. Just watch out for the occasional typo—it’s a ROM hack, after all.
