Two standout mechanics include the ability to swap Pokemon movesets on the fly for better type coverage, and a day/night cycle that affects which species appear in tall grass. The pacing is brisk, with frequent trainer battles keeping you on your toes, though the difficulty can spike unexpectedly at certain gyms.
