Play Power Instinct Online
Pick a weirdo relative and throw down in this offbeat SNES fighter—where grandma hits harder than Ryu and every punch feels like a cartoon gut punch.

Power Instinct came out on the Super Nintendo in 1993, published by Atlus. It was a time when the console was flooded with fighting games trying to chase the success of Street Fighter II, but this one stood out just by being so bizarre. You don't get many games where the roster is packed with elderly women, sumo wrestlers in diapers, and characters who transform into monsters mid-fight.
You pick from a cast of eccentric fighters, each with their own strange special moves, and battle through a tournament. The main objective is to defeat all opponents to become the clan champion. Signature mechanics include building up a super meter for powerful desperation attacks and the ability for characters to transform into more powerful versions after winning a round. The pacing is fast and a little chaotic, with big, silly animations and hits that feel weighty. It feels like playing through a fever dream version of a Saturday morning cartoon.
