Primal Rage is one of those weird, over-the-top fighting games from the '90s where you don’t play as humans—you’re a giant, bloodthirsty dinosaur or ape smashing everything in sight. The pixel art still holds up, especially when your monster rips the head off another and takes a bite. It’s not exactly deep, but there’s something satisfying about stomping through ruins and breathing fire while tiny cavemen run for their lives in the background.
Chaos is the whole point here. The controls are stiff compared to something like Street Fighter, but who cares when you can summon lightning as a T-Rex?
