Play Primal Rage Online
Pick a chunky claymation dinosaur, then rip another monster’s head off in the most gloriously janky 90s fighting game ever.

Primal Rage came out on the Sega Genesis in 1995, developed by Atari Games. It was a time when fighting games were everywhere, and this one stood out because you weren't playing as a martial artist; you were a giant dinosaur or ape-like beast. The graphics had a weird, clay-like look that felt different from the pixel-perfect sprites in other games of the era.
You control one of seven prehistoric creatures, each with their own moves and fatalities. The main goal is to defeat your opponent in a best-of-three rounds match, but you can also eat human worshippers that wander into the arena to regain health. Signature mechanics include projectile attacks, like spitting venom or throwing boulders, and stage transitions that let you knock your foe into a new area. The pacing is slower than most fighters, with an emphasis on heavy, deliberate attacks. It feels clunky and sometimes unfair, but there's a strange charm in landing a ridiculous super move that fills half the screen.
