Play Puzznic on Msdos Online

Puzznic came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a port of Taito's arcade puzzle game. It was a solid, straightforward title in an era when puzzle games were often simple in concept but could get surprisingly deep. You didn't need a powerful machine to run it, which made it a common sight on many beige box computers of the time.

You control a cursor to pick up and slide colored blocks across a grid, aiming to match two identical blocks so they vanish. The main objective is to clear every block from each screen to advance. Key mechanics include planning your moves carefully, as blocks only slide until they hit a wall or another block, and navigating around immovable obstacles that complicate the layout. The pacing is methodical, but the difficulty ramps up quickly, trapping you with poor decisions made several moves prior. It feels like a constant, quiet battle against your own logic.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
