Rayman 2 on Game Boy Color is way better than it has any right to be—somehow they squeezed this big, colorful 3D platformer onto a tiny cartridge. You’re bouncing off mushrooms, swinging from vines, and collecting those little yellow Lums while pirates try to wreck everything. The controls feel surprisingly smooth for a GBC game, though I still panic-jumped into pits more than I’d like to admit.
It’s got that classic Rayman weirdness too—one minute you’re riding a flying shell, the next you’re getting launched out of a cannon by a guy who looks like a walking turnip. The music’s catchy as hell, even in chiptune form. Just don’t expect the full N64/PS1 experience—this is its own scrappy little version of the adventure.
