Revenge of the Mutant Camels came out in 1984 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by Llamasoft. It was a strange and memorable title from that era, one of those games that felt both experimental and completely at home on early personal computers. You knew you were in for something unusual just from the name.
You control a camel that moves left and right along the bottom of the screen, firing upward at an onslaught of bizarre enemies like floating toilets and exploding sheep. The main goal is simply to survive each wave, clearing the screen to progress. Key mechanics include collecting power-ups to enhance your firepower and, occasionally, having a second player (or a goat companion) join to double your attack. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty spikes quickly, demanding sharp reflexes. Playing it feels like navigating a chaotic, unpredictable dream where nothing behaves as you expect.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
