Game Overview

Risk on the Amiga is exactly what you'd hope for—a digital version of the classic board game where you scheme, betray, and occasionally get crushed by bad dice rolls. The map looks crisp, and moving armies around with the mouse feels smooth, though the AI can be a little too aggressive (or weirdly passive) depending on the difficulty. I lost Australia three times before realizing I should just fortify Europe instead.

It’s got that same slow-burn tension as the tabletop version, especially when you’re down to the last few territories and praying your opponent doesn’t pull off a lucky streak. The music’s forgettable, but the sound of troops shuffling between borders is weirdly satisfying. If you’ve got a friend nearby, the hotseat mode makes for a great lazy afternoon of backstabbing.
