Game Overview

Road Runners Death Valley Rally came out for the Super Nintendo in 1992, developed by Sunsoft. It was one of those early platformers that tried to capture the frantic energy of cartoons, a common goal for games at the time. You play as the Road Runner, and the goal is simple: get to the end of each stage before Wile E. Coyote can catch you.

You control the bird, running automatically from left to right, and your main job is to jump over gaps and avoid obstacles. The coyote sets up all sorts of traps, like dropping anvils or rolling boulders, which you can sometimes trick him into triggering on himself. Collecting seeds gives you a temporary speed boost, which is crucial for making some of the longer jumps. The game moves fast and the difficulty ramps up quickly, demanding quick reflexes. It feels like you're in a constant, chaotic race where one wrong move sends you back to the start.
