Robbo came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, published by B&N Companies, Inc. It was a time when puzzle games often demanded patience and precision, and this one fit right in with that no-nonsense style. You don't hear much about it now, but back then it was a solid, thoughtful challenge for anyone with a keyboard and a little stubbornness.
You control a small robot navigating tight, single-screen rooms filled with obstacles and enemies. The goal is to clear each stage by pushing bombs to destroy rocks, avoiding deadly laser cannons, and collecting all the keys to unlock the exit. Movement is grid-based and deliberate; every step matters, and mistakes often mean restarting the room. The pace is slow and methodical, forcing you to think several moves ahead. Playing Robbo feels like solving a tense, interactive logic puzzle where focus is everything.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
