Adventures of Robbo came out in 1993 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, a collection that brought a number of older titles to a wider audience. It was originally developed by a Polish team and published by LK Avalon, fitting right into that era of European puzzle-platformers that demanded a lot of patience and careful thinking. You didn't get much hand-holding back then, just a game and the expectation that you'd figure it out through trial and error.

You control Robbo, a small robot, navigating through a series of single-screen rooms. Your goal is simply to collect all the bolts in a level to open the exit, but the challenge comes from the environmental hazards and enemies that fill each puzzle. You push blocks to crush foes or create paths, shoot projectiles to break certain walls, and carefully avoid magnets that will pull you to your doom if you get too close. The pace is methodical, almost slow, because a single wrong move often means instant death and restarting the room. It feels like a tense game of spatial logic where every action needs to be calculated several steps ahead.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
