Game Overview
F29 Retaliator’s take on the RoboCop license is way more interesting than your typical movie tie-in. Instead of just rehashing scenes, it throws you into these weirdly varied 3D polygonal levels—some feel like arcade racers (there’s a Chase HQ-style car chase where you’re weaving through streets), others drop you into first-person shooting galleries where you’ve gotta pick off criminals without hitting bystanders. Then suddenly you’re flying around in RoboCop’s jetpack or brawling with ninja robots in a side-scrolling fistfight.
You can tackle levels in random order like an arcade cabinet or play them in sequence to follow the movie’s plot—something about corporate goons trying to replace RoboCop with their own ninja-bot. The whole thing’s janky in that early-3D Amiga way, but it’s got this chaotic charm where you never know what gameplay twist is coming next.
Just don’t expect it to play like a modern game—this is pure late-'80s "throw everything at the wall" design.
