You bounce around as Rodney fixing busted robots, dodging gears and belts in a no-frills GBA platformer—it’s got that rushed movie game feel but moves well enough.

Game Overview

I picked up Robots for the Game Boy Advance back in 2005, a title developed by Eurocom and based on the animated film. It's a straightforward platformer from that era, the kind of licensed game that showed up often on handhelds, not particularly ambitious but functional in its own right.

You control Rodney Copperbottom, navigating through industrial environments, jumping across conveyor belts, and avoiding hazards like gears and electrical traps. The main goal is to repair other robots by finding and delivering spare parts, which involves exploring levels screen by screen, sometimes backtracking to access new areas. Combat is simple, mostly consisting of hitting enemies with a wrench, and the pacing stays brisk without becoming too demanding. It feels like a competent, if unremarkable, way to pass the time.
