Robots (EU) on the DS is one of those weird little licensed games that actually turns out to be pretty fun. You play as Rodney, this scrappy little robot who's trying to make it in a world of shiny, corporate machines. The first thing you'll notice is how chunky and tactile all the robot designs feel—like someone took a bunch of spare parts and made them click together just right.
Gameplay's a mix of platforming and light puzzle-solving, with some surprisingly decent combat thrown in. You'll be flipping switches, dodging conveyor belts, and occasionally upgrading your bot with new parts you scavenge. The controls take a minute to get used to (it's the DS, after all), but once it clicks, bouncing between gears and grinding on rails feels oddly satisfying.
It's not going to blow your mind, but for a movie tie-in, it's got way more charm than it needs to. The soundtrack's got this weirdly catchy industrial vibe too.
