Robots (U)(Venom) was a Game Boy Advance title from 2005, developed by Eurocom and published by Vivendi Universal Games. It arrived late in the GBA's life, a time when licensed movie tie-ins were still common, and it fit right into that familiar, often unambitious category. The game is based on the animated film Robots, and it doesn't try to hide its origins; it's very much a product of its time.

You control Rodney Copperbottom, navigating through side-scrolling levels filled with platforms, enemies, and various gadgets. The main goal is to progress through each stage, defeating robot foes and solving simple environmental puzzles. Signature mechanics include using a projectile weapon, the Electro-Rod, to stun and attack enemies, and engaging in light platforming across industrial and urban settings. The pacing is straightforward, and the difficulty is generally manageable, though some jumps can feel imprecise. It feels like a competent, if uninspired, run-and-gun platformer that gets the job done without surprises.
