Play Rules of Engagement Online
You squint at radar blips, fingers hovering over torpedo controls as sonar pings speed up—that enemy sub’s way closer than you thought. Your destroyer turns like it’s stuck in molasses.

Game Overview
Rules of Engagement is one of those old-school MS-DOS games that somehow still feels fresh—probably because most modern strategy games don’t make you sweat this much. You start off staring at a radar screen, trying to figure out if that blip is a friendly cruiser or an enemy sub about to ruin your day. No tutorials, no mercy.
The controls take a minute to get used to (this is the '90s, after all), but once you’ve got the hang of plotting torpedo paths and frantically ordering evasive maneuvers, it clicks. Nothing beats the panic of hearing sonar pings getting louder while your destroyer turns slower than a shopping cart with a stuck wheel.
It’s brutal, it’s clever, and somehow, even with pixelated explosions, it makes you feel like an actual naval commander. Just maybe don’t play it right before bed unless you want dreams about sonar echoes.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
