I remember picking up Sango Fighter II back in 1995, one of those MS-DOS games from Panda Entertainment Technology Co., Ltd. It came out during a time when fighting games were really finding their footing on PC, and this one stood out because it drew from the Romance of the Three Kingdoms lore. You didn't see many games like that outside of arcades or consoles.

You control one of several warlords, each with their own moveset and weapon; Lü Bu swings a halberd with wide, punishing arcs, while Guan Yu relies on slower, heavier strikes that can break an opponent's guard. The main goal is to defeat every other character across a series of one-on-one fights, leading up to a final challenger. Signature mechanics include a super move system that builds as you land hits, and defensive options like parries and short dodges that are essential at higher difficulties. The AI adapts quickly, so you can't rely on the same combo repeatedly. It feels tense and deliberate, demanding both timing and patience.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
