Play Sangokushi 4 Online

Pick a warlord, juggle alliances and betrayals, and sweat through turn-based battles where one wrong move loses you a city. The 32X sprites are rough now, but watching your tiny armies clash never gets old.

Game Overview

Sangokushi 4 is one of those games that makes you feel like a warlord plotting your next move over a giant map of ancient China. You start by picking a faction—I always go for Cao Cao because his stats are solid—and then it's all about balancing diplomacy, troop movements, and the occasional backstabbing. The battles are turn-based but tense, especially when you're outnumbered and scrambling to hold a key city.

What I love is how messy it gets. Alliances crumble, random events throw your plans off, and sometimes your best general just... defects. The 32X graphics are dated now, but there's something charming about the little sprites marching across the terrain. If you're into slow-burn strategy where every decision matters, this one's a time sink in the best way.

Just don't expect it to go easy on you—Liu Bei's smug face when he steals your territory still haunts me.
