I picked up Scooby-Doo for the Game Boy Advance back in 2002, a time when licensed games were everywhere and you never quite knew what you were getting. THQ published it, and it was one of those titles that felt right at home on the handheld, colorful and straightforward, not trying to be more than it needed to be.

You control the whole gang, switching between them as you explore the haunted Spooky Island. Each character has a specific role; Shaggy and Scooby are mostly there to run from monsters and eat snacks to regain courage, Fred fights ghosts with his fists, Velma solves environmental puzzles, and Daphne kicks her way through obstacles. The main goal is to uncover the mystery behind the island's strange happenings, which involves moving screen by screen, collecting clues, and occasionally getting chased in tense, panic-inducing sequences. The pacing is decent, though some sections drag if you get stuck on a puzzle, and the difficulty is manageable but not without a few frustrating moments. It feels like a light adventure that captures the show's goofy charm without overcomplicating things.
