Game Overview

SD Gundam Generation - Babylonia Kenkoku Senki is one of those deep-cut SNES strategy games that only hardcore Gundam fans even knew existed. You're basically commanding mobile suits through two major wars from the UC timeline—Char's Counterattack and F91—with that classic SD (super deformed) chibi art style making everything weirdly adorable despite the war drama.

The Sufami Turbo gimmick is neat if you've got the other SD Gundam games, letting you link them up for extra units or scenarios. Without it, though, you're still getting a solid tactical experience where positioning and unit types actually matter. Early on, you'll be scrambling to keep your Zakus from getting wrecked by beam weapons while trying to flank with faster suits. It's janky in that very 90s way, but there's charm in figuring out its quirks.

Fair warning: unless you're fluent in Japanese or really patient with menus, expect some trial and error. Still, if you love obscure Gundam games, this one's a weird little time capsule worth digging into.
