Sengoku 2 is one of those arcade beat 'em ups that somehow flew under the radar back in the day, but it’s a total blast. You pick from four characters—samurai, ninja, and a couple of others—and just start wrecking waves of demons and undead warriors in feudal Japan. The sprites are chunky and satisfying, and the special moves actually feel powerful when you pull them off (especially the ninja’s spinning blade attack).

What I love is how chaotic it gets—enemies come at you from all sides, and the levels shift between castles, burning villages, and even a creepy graveyard. It’s not the deepest fighter out there, but the pacing keeps you slashing through. Also, the soundtrack has this weirdly catchy synth vibe that sticks in your head.

If you’re into retro arcade brawlers, this one’s a solid time—especially with a friend. Just don’t expect to beat it on one credit unless you’ve got serious skills.
