Sengoku 2, released by SNK in 1993 and playable via MAME 0.243, is a side-scrolling beat 'em up set in a supernatural version of feudal Japan. You choose from one of four heroes, each with distinct fighting styles, and battle through stages filled with historical and mythical enemies.

You control your chosen warrior, moving from left to right across each screen, clearing out waves of enemies before progressing. The main objective is to defeat the demonic forces threatening the land, culminating in a series of boss fights. Signature mechanics include the ability to pick up and use different weapons dropped by foes, such as swords and bows, and a character-specific super attack that can turn the tide of a crowded fight.
