Download Shadow Fighter_Disk3 ROM – Amiga Game
1994 Amiga fighting game. 16 fighters, 25 moves each. Features practice mode, best-of-3 fights, adjustable difficulty, and one-button controls.
Shadow Fighter on the Amiga was one of those rare fighting games that tried to capture the Mortal Kombat vibe—blood and all, if you turned it on. Sixteen fighters, each with their own weird little backstory and themed stage, plus this creepy puppet named Pupazz you could wail on to practice combos. The controls were built for a one-button joystick, which sounds limiting, but somehow they crammed in 25 moves per character. Special moves involved awkwardly spinning the stick halfway around, which either felt genius or like you were about to snap it in half.
The stages had these gorgeous multi-layer backgrounds with up to 80 colors—pretty impressive for the Amiga. It wasn’t perfect, but for a Mortal Kombat clone on that system, it punched way above its weight. You’ll either love the jank or hate it, but it’s hard to forget.
