It’s not exactly forgiving—you can die in some brutally sudden ways—but that just makes finally solving a room’s mystery even more satisfying. Just don’t be surprised if you end up scribbling notes or second-guessing every click. The NES version’s music and those flickering candle animations still stick with me years later.
