Play Shadowlands Online

Shadowlands came out in 1992, published by Domark for MS-DOS. It was part of that wave of early 90s computer games that tried to blend deep fantasy settings with tactical, turn based mechanics. It didn't have the flash of some other titles from the period, but it carved out its own space for players who liked to think before they acted.

You control a party of adventurers, each with their own class and skills, navigating a dark fantasy world screen by screen. The main goal is to survive the hostile environments and defeat the evil that has taken hold. Key mechanics include splitting your party to manage threats from different directions, using turn based movement and combat to carefully position your fighters and spellcasters, and managing limited resources like health and magic. The pacing is deliberate, and the difficulty is unforgiving; a single wrong move can lead to a quick end. It feels like a tense, methodical puzzle where every decision has weight.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
