Play Shuihuzhuan - Liangshan Yingxiong Online
Lead a ragtag crew of Water Margin outlaws in pixelated heists, bribing guards and ambushing corrupt officials—clunky menus and all, it’s got that weird old-school magic.

Game Overview
Shuihuzhuan - Liangshan Yingxiong is one of those old MS-DOS games that somehow flew under the radar, which is a shame because it’s got this rough, scrappy charm to it. You’re basically leading a band of outlaws straight out of Water Margin, and the game doesn’t just slap the story on—it actually feels like you’re pulling off heists and sticking it to corrupt officials. The pixel art’s nothing fancy by today’s standards, but there’s something about the way your little bandit sprites move across the map that just clicks.
At first, I thought it’d be another Romance of the Three Kingdoms clone, but nah—it’s got its own thing going. The turn-based fights are simple but satisfying, especially when you pull off a dumb plan that somehow works. And yeah, the menus are clunky (it’s DOS, what’d you expect?), but once you get past that, there’s a surprising amount of depth in how you build your crew. Some heroes are straight-up brawlers, others are sneaky, and figuring out who works best together is half the fun.
If you’re into retro strategy or just love a good underdog story, this one’s worth digging up. Just be ready to squint at those tiny text boxes.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
