Game Overview

SimTown - Win9x is like stumbling into a sun-drenched toybox where everything’s made of chunky pixels and pure ‘90s charm. You start with a blank patch of land—no intimidating spreadsheets, just a handful of colorful zoning stamps and this weirdly satisfying bulldozer sound effect. Before you know it, you’re plopping down candy-colored houses, naming your townsfolk (I always gave them ridiculous nicknames), and watching them wander around like tiny, clueless ants.

The disasters are the best part—instead of earthquakes, you get UFOs zapping up your mayor’s house or a dinosaur stomping through the park. It’s all silly and low-stakes, which is why I kept coming back even after my fifth identical ice cream shop. That grainy MIDI soundtrack still lives rent-free in my head, too.

Honestly, it’s less a city builder and more a digital dollhouse with a weird obsession with llamas. Perfect for when you want to zone out without zoning an industrial district.
