Game Overview

If you grew up watching the Winx Club, this DS game is basically a nostalgia trip with some light puzzle-solving thrown in. You play as Bloom and the gang, running around different fairy realms looking for pieces of the Codex—which, honestly, I never fully understood as a kid, but hey, magic books are always important, right?

Each fairy has their own power (Stella’s sun magic is weirdly useful for lighting up dark caves), and you’ll swap between them to solve little environmental puzzles. There’s a bit of platforming, some basic combat against random shadow creatures, and a lot of tapping the touchscreen to cast spells. It’s not super deep, but the art style nails the show’s vibe, and the music is that same early-2000s synth-pop fantasy mix.

Fair warning: the dialogue is cheesier than a fairy’s breakfast, but if you’re into sparkly transformations and saving the Magic Dimension between bus rides, it’s a decent time. Just don’t expect Dark Souls-level challenge.
