Sky and Rica is a 1990 MS-DOS shoot 'em up from developer Bitmap Soft. It arrived during a period when the genre was flourishing on home computers, offering a straightforward, colorful take on the formula without much pretense.
You choose between the two pilots, Sky or Rica, and guide their ship through seven vertically scrolling stages. Your main goal is to survive relentless waves of enemies, from floating jellyfish to worm-like creatures, while collecting power-ups that drastically alter your firepower. Key mechanics include picking up split-shot upgrades for wider attacks and gathering orbiting helper orbs that provide additional fire and defense. Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
