Sky & Rica was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection released by Samsung Electronics in 1995. It arrived during a period when many developers were experimenting with top-down action and exploration games, offering a straightforward but engaging experience without the complexity of some larger titles from that era.
You control either Sky or Rica, piloting a small, nimble ship through a series of single-screen levels filled with enemy patterns and obstacles. The main goal is to survive each stage, defeating all enemies to proceed, while collecting power-ups that enhance your firepower or provide defensive options like orbiting helper drones. The game progresses screen by screen, with each level introducing new enemy types and attack formations that demand quick reflexes and careful positioning. The pacing is brisk, and the difficulty can feel punishing if you miss key power-ups or fail to memorize enemy movements. It feels satisfying to weave through bullet patterns and gradually build up your firepower until you can clear the screen with ease.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
