Play Sonic Blast Man Online
Punch UFOs into fireworks, chuck screw bombs at cyborg gangs, and watch the screen fill with absolute chaos—this SNES beat-em-up doesn’t know the meaning of "subtle." Timing those screen-clearing special moves while gravity goes haywire is half the disaster.

Sonic Blast Man came out on the Super Nintendo in 1992, published by Taito. It was part of that wave of arcade-style brawlers that felt right at home on the system, where you just wanted something loud and immediate to play with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. It didn't try to be the deepest game, but it had a specific kind of charm.
You control a superhero in a bulky suit, moving from left to right to punch through waves of enemies, from ordinary thugs to robots and aliens. The main goal is simply to clear each stage by defeating everyone in your path. Its signature mechanics are the super punch, which requires you to charge up by holding the button, and the screen-filling special attacks that you activate after collecting power-up orbs. The pacing is fast and the difficulty can spike unexpectedly, especially when the screen gets crowded. It feels like controlled mayhem, where you're constantly deciding between quick jabs and waiting for the big payoff of a charged attack.
