If you’ve ever wanted Sonic to feel even faster and more chaotic, Sonic Colors on the DS is your jam. The levels are these wild, candy-colored obstacle courses where you’re constantly boosting, grinding, and bouncing off springs—half the time, I wasn’t even sure where I was going, just that it was fast.
The Wisps add this fun twist—some turn you into a laser, others let you drill through the ground, and a few just make Sonic do ridiculous things. The first time I turned into a neon pink spike ball and ricocheted off walls, I laughed out loud. It’s not the deepest platformer, but it nails that pure Sonic energy: barely controlled speed with just enough precision to keep you from faceplanting.
Also, the music slaps. You’ll be humming some of these tracks for days.
