Game Overview
So Dr. Eggman suddenly decides to go legit and builds this insane space theme park—yeah, right. Sonic’s not buying it either, and sure enough, the whole thing’s powered by enslaved alien Wisps. Classic Eggman. What follows is some of the best 2D Sonic action on the DS, with both screens used for those ridiculous speed sections and tight platforming.
The Wisps are the real stars here—each one gives Sonic a wild ability for a few seconds, like blasting through the ground as a drill or turning into a floating vacuum that hoovers up rings. A couple are DS exclusives, like the fireball Wisp that just melts enemies. You’ll switch between them constantly to find hidden paths or shave seconds off your time.
It’s got that old-school Sonic feel—fast, colorful, and just chaotic enough to keep you on your toes. And if you’ve got a friend nearby, the multiplayer races get hilariously cutthroat. Eggman’s park might be a scam, but this game? Definitely not.
