Space Ace II - Borf's Revenge is one of those classic Amiga games that feels like it was beamed straight from the '90s. You play as Dexter (or his cooler, buffed-up alter ego Ace), trying to rescue Kimberly from the villainous Borf. The animation still holds up—smooth, cartoonish, and full of that Don Bluth charm. The controls take a second to get used to, especially the timed button presses during action scenes, but once it clicks, it’s weirdly satisfying.
Disk 5 picks up right where things get intense—Borf’s ship is closing in, and you’ve got to dodge lasers, outrun collapsing platforms, and make some split-second choices. I remember getting stuck on one part where you have to morph into Ace at just the right moment, or you’re toast. Took me a few tries, but nailing it felt great.
If you’re into retro arcade-style adventures, this one’s a blast—just don’t expect modern hand-holding.
