Play Spider-Man 3 (S)(Independent) Online

You swing through pixelated New York, punching goons and chasing helicopters—controls feel janky at first, but there's something satisfying about how much chaos they packed into this tiny cart. The black suit hits harder but makes you miss the red suit's quicker moves.

Game Overview

Spider-Man 3 for the Game Boy Advance came out in 2007, developed by Vicarious Visions. It was one of the last notable action games on the handheld, arriving just as the Nintendo DS was taking over. The game loosely follows the movie's plot, but it carves its own path with side-scrolling action and exploration.

You control Spider-Man, swinging and fighting through a series of levels set across New York. The main goal is to stop the villains from the film, like Sandman and Venom, by progressing screen by screen, beating up thugs, and taking down bosses. Signature mechanics include switching between the classic red suit and the black symbiote suit; the black suit deals more damage but sacrifices some agility. You also collect tokens to unlock concept art and other extras. The pacing is brisk, though some sections feel repetitive, and the difficulty can spike during boss fights. It feels like a condensed, hands-on version of being Spider-Man, with all the web-slinging and brawling you'd expect from a portable title.
