Game Overview

Spider-Man 3 on PSP is basically the movie, but with way more villains and chaos thrown in. You swing around a surprisingly big version of New York—bigger than Spider-Man 2’s map—with sewers and subways to dive into when you’re not stopping random crimes or chasing down Sandman. The black suit changes everything: you hit harder, move differently, and the public actually gets weirded out by you. But wear it too long, and things start getting… messy.

What’s cool is how much isn’t from the movie. You’ll fight Kraven in a sewer, chase Lizard across rooftops, or get ambushed by Rhino mid-swing. The "cineractive" cutscenes are hit-or-miss (mash buttons to dodge debris during a fight, that sort of thing), but the boss fights make up for it—especially the Morbius battle, which feels ripped from a comic book.

It’s janky in that classic mid-2000s way, but swinging through the city still feels great once you get the hang of it. Just don’t expect the Wii’s motion controls here—this is pure button-mashing and thumbstick acrobatics.
