Ever heard of Spirou? It’s this weird little Sega Genesis platformer based on a Belgian comic—kinda obscure, but charming in its own janky way. You play as this bellboy-looking dude who jumps around, whips out a weird grappling hook thing, and bonks enemies with his fists. The controls take some getting used to (why does he slide so much?), but the art’s actually pretty nice—bright colors, big sprites, feels like playing a cartoon.

It’s one of those games where you can tell the devs loved the source material, even if the gameplay’s a bit clunky.
