Star Wars Battlefront - Elite Squadron on the DS is basically a pocket-sized war set in the Star Wars universe. You start off picking between a clone trooper or a droid, and suddenly you're dropped into these chaotic battles on planets like Hoth and Endor—except everything's tiny and the explosions somehow still feel big.
The controls take a second to get used to (you'll be fumbling with the touchscreen at first), but once it clicks, you're running around blasting stormtroopers or Jedi, hopping into vehicles, and occasionally getting wrecked by some overpowered hero unit. The multiplayer's where it really shines if you've got friends with copies—local battles get surprisingly intense for a handheld.
It's not perfect—the AI can be a little dumb sometimes—but for a DS game, it packs in way more Star Wars chaos than you'd expect. Just don't expect it to look like the console versions.
