Game Overview

Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron came out for the PlayStation Portable in 2009, developed by Rebellion and published by LucasArts. It was one of the more ambitious portable Battlefront games, arriving late in the PSP's life when developers were really pushing what the hardware could do with large-scale action.

You control a clone trooper, fighting across famous Star Wars locations on foot, in vehicles, and in space. The main goal is to capture command posts and deplete the enemy's reinforcement count. Key mechanics include switching between ground combat and piloting starfighters within the same battle, and boarding enemy capital ships to sabotage them from the inside. The pacing is fast, with constant pushes between control points, and the difficulty can spike during space segments. It feels like you're right in the middle of a messy, unpredictable war zone.
