Blast through chaotic Star Wars battles—swap between ground fights and dogfights mid-mission, then storm enemy ships before they even catch their breath. The two cloned Jedi brothers’ story actually sticks with you between all the explosions.
Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron on PSP is one of those rare handheld games that actually makes you feel like you're in the middle of a massive Star Wars battle. The story follows two cloned Jedi brothers—X1 and X2—who end up on opposite sides of the war after Order 66. It's a surprisingly personal tale for a Battlefront game, with cutscenes that actually make you care about these two as they fight through 12 missions.
But let's be real, the best part is the combat. You'll blast through ground fights, hop into a starfighter mid-battle, then board an enemy capital ship—all without loading screens. The class system keeps things interesting, especially when you realize some units are way better at certain jobs (good luck dogfighting as a heavy trooper). The multiplayer holds up surprisingly well for a PSP title, with chaotic 8-player matches where you're constantly scrambling between control points.
It's not perfect—the AI can be a little dense sometimes—but for a portable Star Wars shooter, it nails that epic battlefield chaos better than it has any right to.
