Play Star Wars: Dark Forces (CD) Online
Blast stormtroopers in clunky corridors, jump over bottomless pits (finally!), and uncover the Empire’s sketchy droid project—all while that classic Star Wars soundtrack blares in the background. Boba Fett even crashes the party at some point.

Star Wars: Dark Forces was a 1995 MS-DOS release from LucasArts that brought a fresh, first-person perspective to the Star Wars universe. It arrived during a time when shooters were rapidly evolving, and it stood out by blending fast-paced action with a structured, mission-based approach. The game didn't try to reinvent the wheel, but it gave players a solid, immersive way to step into the boots of a Rebel operative.
You control Kyle Katarn, a mercenary working for the Rebellion, tasked with sabotaging Imperial operations and uncovering the secrets behind the Dark Trooper project. Gameplay involves navigating complex levels, blasting stormtroopers and droids, and hunting for keycards to progress. Signature mechanics include the ability to look up and down (a notable feature at the time) and jump, which added verticality to level design. The pacing is brisk, with a mix of combat, exploration, and light puzzle-solving, though some sections demand careful aim and resource management. It feels like a brisk, challenging tour through the grimy, less glamorous corners of the Star Wars galaxy.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
