Game Overview

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed on DS is one of those rare handheld games that actually makes you feel like a ridiculously overpowered Sith. You start off wrecking stormtroopers with Force lightning and throwing them off cliffs like ragdolls—it’s way more satisfying than it should be. The lightsaber combat’s a bit basic, but pulling off combos with Force powers never gets old.

What surprised me was how much story they packed into this little cart. You play as Starkiller, Darth Vader’s secret apprentice, and some of the choices actually matter later on. The graphics push the DS pretty hard—some levels look rough, but the Force effects? Weirdly impressive for a tiny screen.

Just don’t expect the console version. It’s shorter, obviously, but the core thrill of being an unstoppable Force-wielder is totally there. I still boot it up sometimes just to yeastormtroopers into walls.
