Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (Venom) came out on the Nintendo DS in 2008, developed by LucasArts. You control Darth Vader's secret apprentice, Starkiller, and your main goal is to hunt down the last Jedi. The gameplay mixes screen-by-screen exploration with intense combat. You use the touch screen to perform specific Force powers, like gripping enemies and flinging them into hazards, while the face buttons handle your lightsaber attacks. The levels are fairly linear, pushing you from one fight to the next, and the difficulty can spike during boss encounters. It feels chaotic and powerful to unleash the Force in such a direct, physical way on the small screen.
