StarBlade came out in 1991 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, developed by Namco. It was a time when 3D polygonal graphics were still a novelty on home computers, and this game brought a slice of the arcade experience right to the desktop. You weren't getting rich textures or complex lighting; it was all about simple shapes and speed, a direct port that asked a lot of your machine and your coordination.

You pilot a sleek fighter through a tunnel-like environment, constantly moving forward while targeting enemy ships and dodging their fire and environmental obstacles. The main objective is survival, blasting everything in your path to rack up points and see how far you can get. The signature mechanics are its unrelenting first-person perspective, the need to lead your shots against fast-moving targets, and the sheer memorization required for enemy patterns. The pacing is frantic, the difficulty is steep, and it demands your full attention. It feels like being strapped into a cockpit with only your wits and a whole lot of laser fire between you and a quick game over.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
