Game Overview

Stick Fighter I was part of the MS-DOS Classic Games collection, a no-frills release that bundled simple, often shareware, titles from the early 90s. It came from an era when developers, sometimes individuals or very small teams, filled disks with experimental or stripped-down concepts. This game fits right into that landscape: unpretentious, direct, and built for quick sessions between homework or other chores.

You control a stick figure fighter, moving left and right across a single screen to punch and kick an opponent, either another player or the computer. The main goal is to drain the other fighter's health bar before they drain yours. Signature mechanics include awkward, flailing jump kicks that often miss and leave you vulnerable, and a block that only works if you time it just right against incoming attacks. The pacing is frantic, the difficulty is unforgiving, and matches are over in seconds if you aren't careful. It feels like trying to win a slap fight while standing on a trampoline.

Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
