Play Storybook Weaver Online
Drag castles, dragons, or weirdly oversized apples onto pages, then scribble your own text—this old MS-DOS gem turns blank screens into ridiculous fairy tales with a few clicks and a blood-red puddle if you're feeling dramatic.

Storybook Weaver came out in 1994 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games series, developed by MECC, the same company behind Oregon Trail. It was a simple but creative tool for its time, letting kids build their own illustrated stories on home computers when most games focused on action or puzzles.
You control a cursor to drag and drop characters, objects, and scenery onto a digital page, then type your own narrative text to go along with the images. The main objective is to create a complete storybook, page by page, using a library of fantasy and everyday elements. Signature mechanics include combining visual and written storytelling, choosing from a wide range of themed assets, and printing or saving your finished stories. The pacing is entirely up to the user, with no time limits or difficulty levels to worry about. It feels like having an endless stack of paper and a big box of magical stickers to play with.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
