Game Overview
Man, Stratego on MS-DOS—what a blast from the past. It’s like chess, but with way more mind games. You start by secretly arranging your army, hiding bombs, planting your flag, and crossing your fingers that your opponent doesn’t guess where your Marshal is. That first clash when your Scout bumps into their Miner? Pure tension.
The pixelated graphics somehow make it even more intense. You’ll swear that little blue square staring back at you is judging your terrible decisions. And when you finally trick someone into walking their General straight into your bomb? Chef’s kiss. Just don’t get too cocky—I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve accidentally sacrificed my own Spy like an idiot.
It’s one of those games where you’ll immediately demand a rematch after losing. The MS-DOS version nails that old-school, no-frills charm. Still holds up.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
