Street Racer on the Sega Genesis is pure chaos—in the best way possible. You pick from these weirdly charming racers (my go-to was the samurai guy, because why not?) and then it’s just bumper cars at 100 mph. The tracks are wild—some have jumps, others have tight corners where everyone piles up, and half the time you’re just shoving opponents into walls instead of actually racing.
It’s got that early 3D look where everything’s a bit blocky, but that somehow adds to the charm. And yeah, you can play with up to 8 people if you’ve got a multitap, which turns it into absolute madness. Not gonna lie, the AI can be brutal—they love ganging up on you—but that just makes winning feel even better.
Definitely one of those games where you’ll be yelling at the screen within five minutes.
