Street Racer on SNES is this weird, chaotic mashup of racing and brawling that somehow works. You pick from a bunch of goofy drivers—some throw bombs, others drop oil slicks—and then it’s just pure mayhem on tracks that twist through cities, deserts, even outer space. The 3D graphics were impressive for the time, though everything moves so fast you’ll barely notice the pixelated scenery.
What really makes it fun is the multiplayer. Up to eight players can join if you’ve got the right adapter, and races turn into absolute carnage real quick. One second you’re in first place, the next someone’s rear-ending you with a rocket boost. The AI isn’t exactly brilliant, but against friends? Total chaos in the best way.
It’s not the deepest racer out there, but it’s got this rough charm that keeps you coming back for one more race. Just don’t expect anything serious—this is pure arcade nonsense.
