Street Racer on SNES is basically the scrappy underdog of kart racers—it’s no Mario Kart, but it’s got its own weird charm. You pick from eight cars that all handle differently (some feel like they’re made of lead, others skid like they’re on ice), then race against either friends in split-screen or a pack of seven AI drivers. The leagues get tougher as you win, and the tracks throw random power-ups at you—bombs, speed boosts, even health pickups, which feels oddly necessary when your car keeps bouncing off walls.

Honestly, the controls take some getting used to, but once you figure out how to drift without spinning out, it’s weirdly satisfying. The four-player mode is chaotic in the best way, especially when someone drops a bomb at the worst possible moment.
