Play Strider Returns - Journey from Darkness Online

Swinging your sword feels like wading through molasses, and those sudden difficulty spikes? More like running face-first into a brick wall. Even hardcore Strider fans might wince at this one.

Game Overview

Strider Returns on the Sega Genesis (or Mega Drive, if you're in Europe) is... well, it's rough. Tiertex took a swing at following up the arcade classic, but it just doesn't land. The controls feel stiff, the level design's all over the place, and the difficulty spikes hit you like a truck—not the satisfying kind, just cheap shots and awkward jumps.

Weirdly, Japan never even got this one, and honestly? They didn't miss much. If you're a die-hard Strider fan, maybe give it a shot for curiosity's sake, but don't expect that same slick arcade feel. The original still runs circles around it.
