Stunts came out in 1990 as part of the MS-DOS Classic Games lineup, developed by Distinctive Software. It was a racing game that stood out in an era dominated by simpler top-down or side-scrolling titles, offering a 3D driving experience that felt ambitious for its time.
You control a sports car from a first-person perspective, racing against the clock on tracks filled with loops, corkscrews, and massive jumps. The main objective is to complete each course without crashing or running out of time. Signature mechanics include navigating complex stunt elements and using a track editor to design your own courses with steep ramps and obstacles. The pacing is fast and unforgiving; one mistake often sends your car tumbling end over end. It feels chaotic and unpredictable, but landing a perfect jump after several failures is incredibly satisfying.
Each game uses different controls, most DOS games use the keyboard arrows. Some will use the mouse , "Alt" ,"Enter" and "Space bar".
